Housexy Spring 06 – Housexy

Label: Housexy [Mos]

Hou does funky house grab you? It doesn’t? Well you’re likely to hate this big fat 2 disc selection of silky, slinky, heavenly house-music, 100% guaranteed to kick off your weekend more wickedly than having a pink Max Factor Stay Put Lipstick cartridge stuck up your arse last thing Friday afternoon, leaving you as high as a kite.

Three albums in, and with no sign of a let up in the quality department, the sexy, grandiose and delinquent Housexy crew grease-up an imminent international tour with a dazzling minefield of mixes and seamless sass. Yes, you could criticise this lot for failing to move on from the early to mid-nineties, but the combinations you have here, together with the sheer density of beautiful vibes makes a pooper of any joe determined to wreck the party.

With residencies already at London’s Ministry Of Sound, Brighton’s Honeyclub, Portsmouth’s Tantrum and Southampton’s White Horse, Housexy is already filling the ports with fun and feisty liquid gold.

Kicking off with the velvet acapella of Kloud 9’s ‘So Many Reasons’ before morphing into a crazy, Brazillian house-party with Asle’s ‘Golden Sun’ the record pulls in a damned impressive list of preening, particious peoples that includes; Chanel, Freemasons & Amanda Wilson, Soul Purpose, Aaron Smith, Chris Lake, Rob Hawk, High Life, Walken, DJ Meri, and Restless & Volatile.

Hou-zat for a party?
