Bring Me The Head Of Freq Nasty [Ep] – Freq Nasty

Label: Skint Records

Part of the fun culture fall-out, Freq Nasty is the kind of guy who can lop out his lap top and let spill a killer roll of shattering breaks and beats in the time it takes most others to say ‘it’s bangin’.

A limited EP featuring 4 tracks from Freq Nasty’s forthcoming album, Bring Me The Head Of Freq Nasty (due to be released on Skint Records on 15 September 2003) this is a sampler that alone outstrips by a fat margin the contents of most full blown releases. Raw, volatile and dripping with the sweat of simmering Brixton tension, ‘Bring Me The Head Of Freq Nasty’ was created by Brisbane ex-pat ‘Freq’ during a long hibernation in his Brixton studio and moves pretty nicely between some monster lo and hi frequencies.

Melding pornographic breaks to the deep deep pleasure of a prog beat ‘Clit Licker’ demonstrates some trademark monster mashin’ whilst ‘Boomba Clatt’ sees Roots Manuva and Yolanda coming on board to deliver some cooling ragga conscience.

Very good stuff indeed.
