Secretsundaze – Tobi Neumann Presents …

Label: Secretsundaze Music

Regularly taking place at roof-top, terrace locations like Canvas in London, this well loved club event may no longer be the closely guarded secret it was, but it’s still a fiercely independent and innovative night packed to the beams with all manner of crazy and obstreperous techno and house heads. No not the kind of floor filling, club friendly crap you’re likely to find down your end of pier discos, but the more sparse, adventurous, trans-international fare traditionally dished up by the likes of Miss Kittin and Chicks on Speed. This time, however, it’s the turn of Tobi Neumann to preside, ostensibly one of the most respected producers and DJs in the underground house and techno scene and regular face at The Love Parade, the Timewarp festival, Cocoon (Ibiza) and Weekend in Berlin.

The second in the series, ‘sectertsundaze Volume 2’ is a lovingly mixed selection of sharp tribal workouts (Minilogue’s ‘Jamaica’, Filsonik’s ‘Here To Stay’) and dubby, industrial organ twisters like ‘Derrick’s Chase’ from Nathan Hawkes, and Stimmig’s trippy and robustly carbonated, ‘Radar’.
